28 Aug 2010 - Dublin Through To Ladies Senior Final 2010

The Jackies ran out 1-8 to 0-9 winners against the O'Moore County and will now meet Tyrone or Kerry in the September 26 decider at Croke Park.

Dublin had already defeated Laois this season, in the TG4 Leinster final, but well into the second half it appeared that the tables would be turned.

That was before Dublin corner forward Lyndsey Davey scored a crucial goal with just over seven minutes remaining to hand Dublin the lead, 1-6 to 0-8.

It was an advantage they would hold all the way to the finish as Laois, who led by 0-4 to 0-2 at half-time, were left heartbroken and denied a first final appearance since 2001.

Dublin, beaten finalists three times before (2003, 2004 and 2009) now have another chance to finally get their hands on the Brendan Martin cup.

Meanwhile, Waterford booked their place in the TG4 All-Ireland intermediate final after scoring a 1-14 to 0-10 victory against Cavan at Dr Cullen Park.

Player of the match Elaine Power inspired this victory for the Déise as they repeated their Division 3 league final victory against the same opposition.

And the TG4 All-Ireland junior decider will be contested by last year's beaten finalists Limerick and Louth, who came through their semi-finals against Wexford and Derry respectively.
