Annual Social and Medal presentation
Banner Ladies ended another successful year with a
most enjoyable Social evening. The event was held at
The West County Hotel and there was a great turn out
of players and family members. Many thanks to those
involved in organising the event.

Laura Chesser's Brother Rory Competes At The Top Of International Athletics

Date of birth: 07/03/1987
Events: 800m, 1500m, 3000m steeplechase, 5000m
Coach: Pat Hogan

Rory won a silver medal at the 2010 BUCS Outdoor Championships in the 5000m. He was Irish National 3000m Steeplechase Champion in 2008 and 2009 and is an Irish International at both track and cross country. He recently represented his country in the European Athletics championships in Barcelona in July 2010.

Rory is studying a PGCE in Primary Education at SMUC

Banner Ladies Club - Secretary's Report 2009 AGM
It is my privilege, as secretary of the Banner Ladies Football Club, to again present my secretary’s report to our Annual General Meeting. In doing so I am very conscious of how my report at the 2008 AGM brought unprecedented local media attention.

Though sometimes not very subtle in my expression, I did not mean to be controversial but at the same time I felt it appropriate to air the difficulties our club was experiencing from my viewpoint as club secretary.
